Dell released yesterday its new Studio line of notebook
computers with a variety of colors meant to attract style-conscious people with
a distinct fashion sense.
"The new Studio products demonstrate that Dell is
continuing to focus on design and value, delivering attractive, feature-packed
mobile digital lifestyle products," said Alex Gruzen, senior VP of Dell's
consumer product group, in a statement presented by the company’s
official Web site.
The Studio 15 notebook offers a 15.4-inch high definition
widescreen and the Studio 14 offers a 17-inch similar HD widescreen and both
will be available with a maximum of 320 Giga Bytes hard drives. Users will be
able to choose to stack their notebooks with Blu-Ray or DVD recorder drives.
Both come equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processors, a
genuine copy of Windows Vista operating system, built-in Webcams, optional LED
displays and a 802.11 b/g wireless connectivity which can be upgraded to
a faster 802.11 n.
The Studio 15 weights 6.11 pounds and the Studio 17 7.87
pounds but both can present an increased mass as a result of certain
configurations and additional options.
The colors prepared by Dell for its new line are Plum
Purple, Flamingo Pink, Tangerine Orange, Jet Black, Ruby Red, Graphite Gray, Spring
Green and Midnight Blue, successfully covering most of the market’s demands.
The suggested retail prices for the two models start at $799
for the Studio 15 and at $999 for the Studio 17.
Dell is looking to expand its offer in the notebook segment
which is one of the most popular ones on the market, already boosting the
company’s earnings with 43 percent in the last quarter.
