The product road map of Dell, the biggest personal computer maker in the world behind HP, shows that the company’s upcoming netbooks for this year. The new version of the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 will sport an Intel Atom 1.86GHz and will also feature a list of other new features such as a six-cell battery, a 250GB drive option, a TV tuner and Ubuntu Linux or Vista OS choices. The new options will most likely become available on April 17th.
Meanwhile, its successor, the Mini 1010 (Tiger) will pack Intel’s Z-series of Atom processors, with 1.3GHz, 1.6GHz and 1.8GHz options. The Tiger will also sport 1GB or 2GB of RAM, Linux, XP and Vista OS choices, and optional GPS, mobile TV and a 720p HD screen at prices starting at $349.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 11, a.k.a. the Mini 1110 Argos, was described by the company as “very thin and light” and also as having “laptop-like performance.” Although it’s not known what processor it will pack, the netbook will have an 11.6-inch screen which actually means that the computer doesn’t actually qualify as a netbook. The 11.6-inch screen will have HD capabilities, and the netbook/notebook will have 250GB HDD and 2GB RAM options and the Windows Vista operating system. The Mini 1110 Argos will sell for prices starting at $499.
