Dell Brings Color To The Studio Laptop Line

Dell came up with another colorful line after last year’s Inspiron. Seven colors, 15-inch and 17-inch laptops and a ton of personalization options make the Studio line the answer to the personalization demand on the market today.

One year after Dell came up with the Inspiron colorful notebook line, another official (but not surprising) announcement came on Thursday: the Studio laptop line is here!

The Studio 15 and Studio 17 laptops come in seven colors, and as personalization seems to be the key here, Dell will also include a series of optional accessories to match the Studio line, such as backpacks, slipcovers, mice and ear buds.

The laptops will be available at prices starting from $799 for the 15-inch laptops and $999 for the 17-inch ones.

They will include Intel Core 2 Duo processors T9300 (2.5 GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB), will support up to 4GB Dual Channel 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM and up to 320GB of storage configured with a 5400 RPM SATA hard drive.

All laptops come with an integrated Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate, a built-in 2.0MP webcam and Wi-Fi, mobile broadband from Verizon and Sprint and Bluetooth options.

Dell defines its new line of laptops through rich colors, a distinctive etched pattern, which give everyone the possibility to complement their personal style as they wish. The keypad offers capacitive multimedia keys that illuminate when touched.

In addition to all that, the Studio line comes with a Blu-ray Disc, interactive menus, games and movie features, as well as a HDMI port for a high-definition experience directly on the user’s TV.

The Blu-ray technology is once again felted in the Dell product line, after the computer maker launched its Inspiron 1525 notebook in Mach this year, also equipped with Blu-ray Disc player.

As laptop PC sales continue to generate more revenue, almost equaling desktops in terms of sales, Dell expects its notebook business to thrive and sales to exceed those of desktop systems in the next few years.
