“The X-Files” star David Duchovny has reportedly checked out of rehab for sex addiction according to a People Magazine report.
The 48-year-old actor is out of rehab and will soon start work on a new film, Duchovny lawyer Stanton "Larry" Stein said.
"He successfully completed his treatment," Stein added.
Stein didn’t give details about how much time the actor spent in rehab, but underlined the fact that he was out and ready to start working on his new movie.
The actor voluntarily entered the rehabilitation medical facility in late August. He publicly announced his decision to enter the clinic and asked for privacy and respect for his family.
Duchovny is married to actress Tea Leoni. The two tied the knot in 1997 and are now parents of two children.
Ironically, Duchovny plays the role of a sex obsessed character Hank Moody in the cable TV series "Californication." Moody, a sexually obsessed writer, finds it very difficult to maintain the relationship with his girlfriend on track and his sexual escapades don’t help him on bit.
In January, Duchovny won a Golden Globe Award for his role as a troubled Los Angeles novelist.
Duchovny’s next movie will most likely be "The Joneses." The movie was scheduled to be released in 2009.
