The fight between gaming consoles is never ending. The PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo consoles are currently the top three in the world. Of course, some markets are dominated by one console, while the same console may be bashed by professional gaming magazines from that market. Special editions, special versions, extra gifts, contests – Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will do anything to attract customers and beat the other two, in order to be declared the supreme gaming console.
Such a title is very hard to achieve, no only because all three companies have remarkable technology and wonderful creative teams, but because it is hard to establish exactly what criteria makes a console the utmost best. So far, it seems to be a combination between sales in consoles, sales in games destined for that console – as opposed to the same versions of the game destined for the others, game reviewers, warranty reports and surely much more.
So far, Nintendo has dominated the markets both with the Wii console and their portable console, the Nintendo DS. As the holiday season is approaching, Nintendo is preparing to give thanks to their loyal and enthusiastic customers. On Black Friday, Nintendo has announced that they will be releasing two special, limited editions of the Nintendo DS.
One is the Mario Red, which is crimson in color and has an “M” painted on its front. Obviously, it comes with a copy of the “New Super Mario Bros.” The Ice Blue version will get you not only a copy of “Brain Age”, but also a special carrying case. Although one of the versions seems to have an extra gift, both versions will be available for $149.99.
