Craig Robinson, the actor best-known for his role as the warehouse foreman Darryl Philbin on NBC’s sitcom “The Office” and as a hit man in “Pineapple Express,” has been arrested and is now facing felony drug charges after police officers found ecstasy and methamphetamine on him during a traffic stop.
Prosecutors of the LA County charged the 36-year-old actor on Friday with two counts of felony drug possession and one of being under influence of one of the drugs forbidden by state law, according to the criminal complaint released Friday by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.
The actor’s first court appearance was scheduled for August 21.
Robinson was arrested on June 29 by police in Culver City, California. He made bail and was released a few hours later. Police did not say, or probably did not find out yet, which of the two illegal substances Robinson used.
Craig Robinson made himself known through stand up comedy and also plaid roles in the two movies mentioned above. He also played a club doorman in the movie “Knocked Up.” His credits also include “Arrested Development,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.” Robinson also has a role in the upcoming Kevin Smith comedy, "Zack and Miri Make a Porno."
