"Everybody was yelling, 'The plane's going to blow up, the plane's going to blow up!' The plane was on fire -- the engine was, anyway," passenger Gabriel Trejos said in an interview with 9News.

Out of the 38 people that were taken to the hospital, only one was listen in serious condition. None of the victims suffered burns.

Continental Airlines released a statement on Saturday which said they are gathering information about the accident involving Flight 1404. The plane had 112 people aboard (5 crew members and 107 passengers).

The take-offs and landings resumed at the airport. Only a section remained closed for further investigation.
