Last Friday, Angel Arce Torres, 78, from Hartford, Connecticut was run over by a car travelling on the wrong side of the road. Moreover, the car didn’t stop to see what happened with the victim and, what’s even more unbelievable, was the fact that nine cars drove by the man without stopping.

According to Times Online, motorists skillfully passed the victim, not bothering to stop and take the victim to a hospital.

If you can’t believe that someone could do something like this, if you can’t believe that people seem not to care at all about other people, the whole scene was captured by a streetlight surveillance camera. The images are shocking.

The video shows how Torres, who is now paralyzed in hospital, was trying to cross the street, after he had bought some milk. A Honda travelling on the wrong side of the street hit the man and continued its route.

Wednesday, Hartford Police Chief Daryl Roberts made the video public, hoping that people would offer information about the person responsible for the accident.

The police arrived at the accident site a minute later and transported Torres to a hospital.

Apparently, for people called 911 after the incident occurred.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Gov. M. Jodi Rell called the video "beyond chilling."
