According to People magazine, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were engaged in Los Angeles this weekend. An official statement about the engagement as well as preliminary wedding details were allegedly being planned by Gisele and her circle this week.

“The couple is discussing a huge posh event in the spring or a more intimate and quicker ceremony in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a home,” sources said.

The Patriots quarterback proposed to supermodel girlfriend Gisele Bundchen with a diamond solitaire Friday. They're supposedly thinking about a big "fashionista" wedding or a smaller affair in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a place. Her agent has refused to confirm or deny the reports, saying, "We don't comment on our clients' private lives."

The official word comes after denials that Brady had popped the question on Christmas Eve. So the reports weren't true, but they turn out to be true three weeks later, but they still weren't true at that time?
