“Hannah Montana” star Cody Linley may have made it to the
“Dancing with the Stars” semifinal on Tuesday, but the big night was also his
last on the ABC show, as he and his partner Julianne Hough will not be among
the three finalist pairs competing in next week’s grand finale.
However, the actor’s elimination comes as no surprise, as he
came in last for the third consecutive week. Thus, unable to collect enough
viewer votes so as to remain in the competition, the teenage heartthrob had no
choice but to leave “Dancing with the Stars.”
Just a couple of days before his 19th birthday,
Cody Linley faced a strong disappointment but that did not stop him from
receiving the news with dignity and stateliness and explaining that the time he
had spent on the show was a “growing, learning journey.”
In spite of the fact that Brooke Burke seemed to be the
finale favorite, she was expected to face tough challenge from Warren Sapp. Things
have nevertheless been shaken up a bit, as Lance Bass and his pro partner,
Lacey Schwimmer, came from behind on Monday night and stole the show by
obtaining a dance total of 57 points out of 60.
Therefore, the three pairs remaining in the competition,
Brooke Burke and Derek Hough, Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson, and Lance Bass and
Lacey Schwimmer, will have to give their best so as to tip the odds in their
favor during the finale scheduled for next week.
