Coachella And Bonnaroo Promise Some Awesome Party Days!

The buzz surrounding the Coachella and the Bonnaroo festivals just got a bit bigger, as the officials for both events announced their lineups, which as expected, cover a very wide audience.

Coachella’s lineup starts with former Beatle Paul McCartney which is scheduled to kick off the event, and is followed by the Cure, with the indie synth rock band the Killers closing the festival. There will also be another 116 bands present, bringing their own flavours of rock, techno and rap. The list includes Franz Ferdinand, Beirut, The Ting Tings, Crystal Castles, We Are Scientists, Amy Winehouse, Thievery Corporation, Lupe Fiasco, Roni Size, Public Enemy, Sebastien Tellier, Lykke Li and Groove Armada.

Bonnaroo’s list includes Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Phish with a full two-set show and another late-night set, David Byrne, Erykah Badu, Al Green, Snoop Dogg, Nine Inch Nails and also the Beastie Boys. At this point, there are another 70 confirmed acts, but the number is expected to soon reach 120. The festival is scheduled to take place between June 11 and 14 in Manchester, Tenn.

Tickets will be available starting with February 7 on Bonnaroo.com and fans will be able to get their tickets through a special payment plan with 5 $50 installments. "We want to make Bonnaroo as accessible as possible. We really believe in super-serving our audience. If you say, 'I want to do a music festival,' there's nothing really proprietary about that. The details are what make it interesting. These are like never-ending art projects for us," explained Jonathan Mayers, president of festival co-producer Superfly.
