There’s no part like fatherhood. At least for Clive Owen.
The 44-year-old actor’s daughters have realized that their dad’s celebrity status may offer them both privilege and benefit. In spite of the fact that 12-year-old Hannah and 9-year-old Eve are not formally allowed to watch some of their father’s films, as many of them are R-rated productions, the girls are trying to make the most of Clive Owen’s standing.
The “Sin City” star told USA Today that his oldest daughter has become “obsessed by ‘Friends’” and that after she found out her daddy worked with Jennifer Aniston a few years ago she urged him to give her a call so she could speak to the actress.
As odd as the girls’ requests may seem, Clive Owen does not seem to mind. The actor’s “International” co-star told the same source that Owen was “very much a family man – he never stops talking about his daughters and wife.”
Clive Owen is currently promoting his upcoming movies, “The International,” which is scheduled to be released on Friday, and “Duplicity,” which is due to be out on March 20.
The actor explained that he could not wait to arrive home after traveling for so long. Although he used to enjoy going on holidays with his family, he now prefers to stay home with the girls, Clive Owen admits.
Balance seems to play an important role in the actor’s life as well. “If I go away for a certain amount of time to make a film, I make sure I have down time at home to keep the balance right,” the “Derailed” star informed USA Today.
