Lee Grivas, known publicly as a former boyfriend of actress Christina Applegate, was found dead in his Hollywood apartment, of an apparent drug overdose. The 26-year-old skateboarder and photographer was allegedly found by a neighbor, and there are no obvious signs of trauma.
Applegate and Grivas had a tough relationship, mainly due to the latter's battle with drugs. Applegate, 36, issued a statement extending her condolences to Lee Grivas' family, also painting an ideal picture of her former boyfriend. She described Grivas as "an incredible human being," claiming that he was "an extremely important and beautiful part" of her life.
Lieutenant Fred Corral of the LA Department of Coroner told People that a syringe was found at the scene of the death and a toxicology report, as well as the autopsy, are pending.
Christina Applegate and Lee Grivas hit it off in 2006, while she was starring in a Broadway revival of Sweet Charity. It was about a year after her husband Johnathon Schaech filed for divorce, which was finalized in Superior Court on August 10, 2007.
