Because they haven't compiled enough evidence yet, prosecutors are thinking of pushing back Chris Brown's first court hearing. Brown, 19, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Rihanna, 21, and was arrested on Feb. 8 for suspicion of making criminal threats against a woman. He’s currently under investigation for alleged domestic violence felony charges, according to the LAPD.
Brown has not been spotted in public since the altercation, but will face a judge when he is formally charged on March 5. Some reports claim the case against Chris is in jeopardy, and Rihanna, who was initially believed to be cooperating with the LAPD, has since backed out of helping the police.
Radio station 103.5 the BOMB said the altercation between the two artists is a too serious thing; therefore, several radio stations across the country have pulled Brown's songs from the airwaves. The public is outraged after photos of Rhianna surfaced and radio stations simply cannot ignore public demands to pull Brown’s music from the airwaves.
The BOMB has decided to remove all of Chris Brown’s songs from rotation indefinitely, according to MSNBC. DJ Short, a representative from the station, adds that they were flooded with calls after the photo surfaced.
The Feb. 7 incident in which Brown allegedly assaulted Rihanna and left her with cuts and bruises to her forehead, lips and cheeks didn't just stir up controversy regarding his songs. It tarnished Brown's good-guy image so badly that several other endorsement deals were suspended, including commercials for Wrigley's gum and the Milk Mustache campaign.
