In the attempt to become a better person, R&B singer Chris Brown has taken up anger management classes, following the incident involving him and girlfriend Rihanna, which resulted in the 19-year-old star having been arrested and charged with making criminal charges.
Reportedly, Brown attended his first anger management session on Monday, a Brown source having told the NY Daily News that the singer did not need to go by law, but that he believed taking up the classes would make him look better to the public.
Moreover, the source added that Brown wanted to attend a few classes by March 5, when the singer has been scheduled to appear in court on charges of making felony criminal threats.
Rihanna, 21, is also due to appear in court in order to testify, whereas the source said that even if Brown was to be convicted, he would not be sentenced to time in prison, since the incident accounted as his first offense.
Last week, entertainment website TMZ.com released photos of Rihanna’s injuries, in which the singer had swollen lips, welts on her forehead and bruises on her eyes, nose and cheeks.
According to TMZ, Rihanna, who turned 21 years old recently, had some bite marks on her arm, as well.
On February 8, LA police stated that Brown and an unidentified woman had got into an argument in a parked car in the Hancock Park area of the city, adding that when the two had stepped out of the car, the squabble had aggravated.
The night before the Grammy Awards, Chris Brown and Rihanna attended a party, whereas afterwards, neither of them showed up for the ceremony held on February 8, although they had both been scheduled to perform during the event.
