Following the incident involving R&B singer Chris Brown and girlfriend Rihanna, which resulted in the former having been charged with making criminal threats, many rumors have started circulating, especially since there has been no official confirmation regarding whether Brown’s victim had actually been Rihanna.
Now, what the media is all buzzing about is Brown’s Facebook profile, on which the singer has recently changed his status from “in a relationship” to “single.”
According to the celebrity gossip Web site Mediatakeout.com, the R&B singer posted an update Thursday on his private Facebook page, which stated that people would begin to see her true colors, a statement that everybody thought to have been about Rihanna.
Nevertheless, Us Weekly magazine later quoted a source that has remained unnamed saying that the Facebook page had been fabricated.
As for the incident itself, TMZ.com reported that it had not accounted for the first time that Chris Brown had physically abused his girlfriend, informing that Rihanna herself had told the police that she had been the victim of Brown’s assaults before the latest attack that took place Sunday morning.
Reportedly, Rihanna initially did not want to be treated at the scene of the incident, still she allowed the police to take images of her injuries before she was taken to the hospital.
Photos of the injuries show major contusions on both sides of the singer's face, with major swelling and bruising, including a split lip and a bloody nose, along with bite marks on one of her arms and several fingers.
