One week after all media outlets started buzzing about how Chris Brown had allegedly physically assaulted his girlfriend Rihanna, the R&B singer released a statement saying that he was sorry about the incident and that he had gone into counseling.
Sunday, Brown put forward the apologetic statement through a representative who also revealed that all the Internet postings following the singer’s arrest under suspicion of making criminal charges had been frauds.
Brown said that he was seeking counseling from his pastor and his family, adding that he was committed to becoming a better person with God’s help and his loved ones’ support.
Furthermore, the statement read that the majority of media speculations that had been prompted by the incident were wrong and that Brown had not posted any messages on Facebook or blogs concerning his arrest and the fall out with Rihanna.
According to the celebrity gossip Web site Mediatakeout.com, the R&B singer posted an update last Thursday on his private Facebook page, which stated that people would begin to see her true colors, a statement that everybody thought to have been about Rihanna.
Moreover, TMZ.com reported that the incident had not accounted for the first time that Chris Brown had physically abused his girlfriend, informing that Rihanna herself had told the police that she had been the victim of Brown’s assaults before the latest attack that took place Sunday morning before the Grammy Awards ceremony, on February 8.
Reportedly, Rihanna initially did not want to be treated at the scene of the incident, still she allowed the police to take images of her injuries before she was taken to the hospital.
Photos of the injuries show major contusions on both sides of the singer's face, with major swelling and bruising, including a split lip and a bloody nose, along with bite marks on one of her arms and several fingers.
