Police found four bodies – including a child - inside an
apartment in Chester, south of Philadelphia, authorities said.
According to police Chief Floyd Lewis, dispatchers received
a call at about 7 p.m. Saturday regarding the dead bodies and the tip was
confirmed as police officers went to that address. They found the bodies of a
man, two women and a child at a second-floor apartment in a building on the 900
block of Keystone Street.
Initial reports showed the death cause was intoxication with
carbon monoxide, but police ruled that out later as further elements were
brought to light by investigators.
"It's suspicious until we hear further from the medical
examiner," Chief Lewis said.
Police found the four bodies in a living room and a bedroom.
The only detail regarding the victims is the fact that the
adults appeared to be in their 20s. Their identities weren’t released yet.
Investigators said it doesn’t appear to be a forced entry
into the apartment because they found no signs indicating that.
The medical crew was dispatched at the scene of the crime at
about 8 p.m. after receiving a call that a person was ill there.
"I don't know what happened. But I see the cops. There
were a lot of police cars," said local resident Kevin Nguyen, who works at
the nearby T & L Nail Salon on the 3100 block of West Ninth Street.
