The Cheetah Girls were dumped from the family-friendly Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The news immediately led to speculation that the sole responsible for this was Adrienne Bailon and her scandal regarding some naked pictures of hear that leaked over the Internet.
It seems that the scandal stirred by the semi-nude photos of Adrienne is too much to digest on Thanksgiving Day. Officials of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade insisted that the Cheetah Girls were ousted from the program due to "scheduling issues" and the spicy snapshots which leaked over the Internet had nothing to do with it.
"Performer confirmations are always fluid and subject to change for any live event," a rep from Macy’s Media Relations told Tarts. "The Cheetah Girls were scheduled to appear in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but due to scheduling issues they could not make it."
While Macy’s officials are looking for a substitute act, the mystery of the leaked semi-nude snapshots lingers on. The Macy’s Parade features a bunch of teen stars such as Miley Cyrus, David Archuleta and The Clique Girlz.
As for the leaked photos, Adrienne’s boyfriend, Jonathan Jaxson, said he and the singer made up the story that the snapshots were stolen from her laptop and posted online. He added that Adrienne wanted to “distance herself” from the Cheetah Girls and wanted to spice it up a bit by adding the story about the stolen nude photos. However, the PR stunt went terribly wrong as the scam was hatched after the singer’s laptop was actually stolen at JFK Airport more than a week ago.
"I've done this before with several stars and we've had great success, but this is the first time it's ever bitten me in the rear or a client," Jaxson said according to The New York Daily News.
