Charlie Sheen, the star of TV series “Two and a Half Men” is
expecting his fourth child, with Brooke Mueller, whom he married earlier this
summer.
They say third time is a charm and this may just be true for
actor Charlie Sheen, who married a third time in May this year after his 4-year
marriage with fellow actress Denise Richards collapsed terribly.
Charlie Sheen, 42, and real estate agent Brooke Mueller, 31,
started their relationship in 2006. The couple managed to stay together through
the difficult times of Sheen’s estrangement from his former wife, as they
became embattled in a bitter custody feud over their two little daughters.
Sheen is already father to three daughters, 23-year-old
Cassandra, with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt and two little girls with Richards:
4-year-old Sam and 3-year-old Lola. While the former spouses washed their
laundry very publicly, Brooke Mueller expressed her fondness for their two
daughters.
Sheen himself has been appreciative of his new bride’s
affection for all of his daughters, as the actor said in a statement Monday,
“She’s the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for. Seeing her
love and affection with those three, I know she’ll be an amazing mom.”
The actor was announcing his wife’s pregnancy, commenting,
“Brooke and I are thrilled!”
True to his comedic talent, he added, “Unless I bat 100
percent, perhaps a boy awaits us.”
People magazine, who has done extensive coverage of the
couple’s marriage and of their troubled relationship with Denise Richards,
quotes a family source saying Brooke “found out for sure on Friday” and was
“thrilled to death.”
Stating what for some may be the obvious, the same source
added, “Brooke loves Charlie very much and has wanted a baby for some time.”
Babies were already in the couple’s thoughts as they
exchanged vows before some 60 close friends and family members at a private
estate in Los Angeles
on May 30.
Brooke soon had high hopes, joking with Extra days after the
wedding that she would like to have triplets and see her new husband deal with
the challenge.
Guests of honor at their wedding were actors Eric Dane, of
“Grey’s Anatomy” fame, and wife Rebecca Gayheart, who first introduced the
future newlyweds to each other in 2006.
Both Sheen and Richards are currently awaiting their
respective fans on the small screen. The star of “Two and a Half Men” was named
earlier this month as the highest-paid actor on US television, while the former
Bond girl currently stars in her own reality series on E!.
