Los Angeles attorney Blair Berk, who represented "W." stars Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright, said that prosecutors have agreed at a court hearing on Tuesday to drop the charges against the accused within 60 days, over an altercation which took place last year at a bar in the Louisiana city of Shreveport.
Brolin and Wright paid $130 each in court costs, their attorney added. However, the charges against them were dropped provided the two kept out of trouble until the 11th of March 2009.
On the 12th of July, the two stars joined director Oliver Stone and other members of the film crew at the Stray Cat bar in Shreveport, La., to celebrate the completion of shooting on the George W. Bush biopic.
But their night did not end as it was supposed to as Brolin, Wright and another five members were arrested due to a fight that reportedly broke out. They were all charged with misdemeanors, instead of more serious felony charges, and did not appear at court.
As a result for interfering with police officers, the tape shows both Brolin and Wright were pepper-sprayed in the face, thrown to the ground and cuffed, even hit with electric shocks from a Taser weapon.
40 year-old Brolin stars in the current film "Milk," opposite Sean Penn. In “W” he played Bush, while his 43-year-old co-star Wright played U.S. statesman Colin Powell. He also interpreted a CIA agent in recent James Bond movies "Quantum of Solace" and "Casino Royale."
