Celtics “Stop the Bleeding”, Rip Bulls 107-82

The Boston Celtics are back on track after their first home loss of the season. With Pierce, Garnett, Allen and the gang showing appetite for more victories, Boston hammered the struggling Chicago Bulls 107-82 on Friday night.

Paul Pierce led the Celtics in scoring with his 22 points. Although they suffered a defeat at home against Detroit after wining twelve in a row, Boston still has the best record in the NBA at 21-3 and now probably started a new wining streak.

"The loss to Detroit left a bad taste in our mouths,'' said Pierce.

"It didn't matter who we played tonight, we were going to come out and take it to them. It didn't matter who was in the building,'' he added.

The Celtics took 15-point halftime lead and didn’t let up during the final two quarters.
Ray Allen had a successful comeback after missing the last three games due to a sore right ankle. He chipped in with 18 points. James Posey had 13 off the bench, while both Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rando scored 12.

"We were fired up,'' said Garnett, who also had seven rebounds. "The Detroit game was still on our minds. We wanted to get back to the things we know we do well.''

The Celtics defense worked well as they managed to hold Chicago to 36 percent shooting from the field while winning for the 10th time in 11 games.

On the other side, the Chicago Bulls were led in scoring by Ben Gordon with 19 and the other players to finish the game with double figures were Gray with 14 and Duhon with 10, both off the bench.

The Bulls couldn’t use its center Ben Wallace, who is suffering from a sprained left foot.
