Categories Added To Apple's AppStore

Apple has always been renowned for its impeccable marketing strategies, which have managed not only to keep old customers faithful to the company’s products, but have also kept new customers coming in all the time.

One of these strategies involves giving a new “face” to your products every now and then. Apple took this to the next level, and “every now and then” became “as often as possible”. If you take a look at their iPod line, you will notice that they have released new, different versions of the MP3 and MP4 player quite often.

Now, the iPods come in different shapes, sizes, memory capacity, ability to play music and video files and, consequently, they all differ when it comes to the price. Apple has learned am important lesson in business, name that you have to adapt your products to the needs of a variety of consumers – and they have done just that over the years.

Recently, Apple has launched a new service, aimed at iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch owners. The service is the App Store, which is an online application store. In this store, people can opt for different applications they want to use for their devices. Among these are several games, which are a delight to play given the iPhone’s motion sensors. Another application enables you to turn your iPhone into a harmonica, if that’s your deepest desire. One of the most sought after applications enables your iPhone to identify tracks played on the radio. You hold you iPhone near the radio and, in most cases, it manages to correctly identify the song.

It has recently been pointed out to Apple, however, that many application developers have lowered the price of the application in order for them to gain a top spot in the online store. In order to solve these issues, Apple has decided to separate the applications into several categories, such as most popular Free Apps and most popular paid Apps.
