Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett will be playing in the next installment of the Indiana Jones adventures.[more]

The 36-year-old actress will join Harrison Ford in the final episode of the 'Indiana Jones'� saga, Hollywood Reporter announced.

No details about her part have been yet disclosed but the Oscar Winning actress is rumored to play a leading role.

Rumors are Sean Connery will play Indiana's father and Natalie Portman is also said to be in negotiations to join the cast.

The movie, which will be produced by George Lucas and directed by Steven Spielberg, with a scrcreenplay by David Koepp is scheduled to start shooting in Los Angeles and other undisclosed locations around the world, in June.

Cate Blanchett, who is filming David Fincher's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," and who will next lend her voice to Wes Anderson's "The Fantastic Mr. Fox," was most recently seen on Irish screens in “Babel� and “Notes on a Scandal,� for which she received an Oscar nomination.

The movie's production was announced earlier this year but the storyline is well kept under wraps. 'Indiana Jones 4'� is set to hit the theaters in May 2008.
