Carla Bruni, the wife of the French president, will appear
along with the hard rock band Metallica in a in a live television show on the
BBC. Carla Bruni will promote her new album, titled “Comme si de rien n’etait” (“As If Nothing Had
Happened”).
This is the third album for Carla Bruni, who made her debut
as a singer in 2003 with “Quelqu’un m’a dit” (“Someone Told Me”) and album that sold
2 million copies around the world. “Comme si de rien n’etait” (“As If
Nothing Had Happened”), largely written by the singer herself save three songs,
was released in mainland Europe and in the UK
in July.
During the the BBC2 show "Later with Jools Holland"
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, will perform songs from her new album.
The rock group Metallica is also to present new material
from their most recent release "Death Magnetic". “Death Magnetic”, the ninth studio album of Metallica, is scheduled
to be released on September 12 and is the first to be produced by Rick Rubin.
On august 6th, the rock band filmed a video close to Los
Angeles for their first single
on the album, “The Day That Never Comes.” The video was directed by Thomas
Vinterberg, drummer Lars Ulrich’s Danish compatriot.
According to the staff of the Jools Holland show, a joint
performance has not been ruled out. Tradition on is that guests play together in an ensemble
after the opening credits.
So, there are some good chances to see Carla Bruni
performing with Metallica.
