Cannon Launches SELPHY CP740 And Other Two Printers

Cannon has announced the compact photo printer SELPHY CP740 ideal for scrapbookers and those who want to print as they create.

SELPHY CP740 features a two-inch color LCD display which can be used in order to choose the pictures for printing, red-eye correction and multiple direct printing options.

Also, the SELPHY CP740 Compact Photo printer makes it easier for crafters to tote their own printer to cropping parties and scrapbooking events. Consumers can create their scrapbook page layout or project templates, and then print exactly the images they need on the spot.

“This printer is ideal for anyone who hopes to produce long-lasting memories with no hassle,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, senior vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon U.S.A. “Especially with the popularity of scrapbooks, crafting, and even personalized postcards printed while on vacation, the SELPHY CP740 Compact Photo Printer can make great quality prints and postcards. And, at an estimated selling price just under $100, it’s an affordable way to make memories that last.”

Cannon also said that the SELPHY CP740 Compact Photo Printer prints borderless, full-photo lab quality, 4”x6” image in approximately 58 seconds.

The printer will hit the shelves this fall for an estimated selling price of $99.99.

Beside SELPHY CP740, Cannon also introduced the Canon PIXMA MP470 and MP210 Photo All-In-One, recommended for both home and office. Both models offer printing, scanning and copying features.

Canon MP470 features a 1.8” flip-up LCD panel, as well as the two-cartridge, four-color printing system. The printing resolution is up to 4800 x 1200 dpi and Cannon claims it has text print speeds of up to 22 ppm in black and up to 17 ppm in color. MP470 printer has direct photo printing capabilities, a high-speed USB 2.0 connection, memory card slots, PictBridge connection and an optional Bluetooth wireless connection. The estimated selling price for the PIXMA MP470 Photo All-In-One is $99.99, and the BU-20 Bluetooth adapter has an estimated selling price of $49.99

The PIXMA MP210 Photo All-In-One offers the same speed and picture resolution as MP470, but it includes the Advanced Z-Lid expansion top that allows the user to place large notebooks or materials for scanning on the platen glass. The estimated selling price for the Canon MP210 Photo All-In-One is $79.99.5

Both models utilize the new “AutoImage Fix” technology that automatically analyzes and categorizes the scenes in photographs to ensure that each individual scene is optimized in accordance with the scene type such as Portrait, Scenery or Snapshot.
