Does Britney have a new hit up her sleeve?
Britney Spears’ new single, “Womanizer,” debuted on Friday
morning on New York City
radio station Z100.
In addition to this, the singer reportedly started working
on the new video for her freshly released single, taken from her upcoming album
“Circus,” due to hit stores on December 2, the same day the pop star turns 27.
In the clip, Britney Spears reportedly plays a sexy looking
waitress, as she is said to wear a short black wig and red lipstick and, what’s
more, fake tattoos. The former teen icon, who won three awards at the MTV VMAs,
which took place earlier this month, is working on her new clip with director
Joseph Khan, who also directed her videos for “Stronger” and “Toxic.”
Furthermore, according to online reports, the clip features
“erotic” choreography, including a kitchen scene in which Britney makes out
with a man wearing a suit.
Britney Spears opened this year’s MTV Video Music Awards
with a much talked about performance, which in the end proved to be much ado
about nothing. Her longed-for comeback consisted of a pretaped segment with
“Superbad” star Jonah Hill and a live minute of introducing the show.
Although she did not sing, the pop princess took home the
prizes for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and the top award, Video of the
Year, for her single “Piece of Me.”
Britney Spears is ranked as the eighth best-selling female
recording artist in the U.S.,
according to the Recording Industry Association of America, with 31 million
certified albums.
