It hasn’t been too long since radio host Don Imus was fired by CBS Radio over his racist remarks, and two other radio hosts, who made an offensive prank phone call to a Chinese restaurant, got their show pulled out.

CBS confirmed "The Dog House with JV and Elvis" show was canned permanently after the two ordered "slimp flied lice" from the restaurant during the on-air prank, making lewd remarks. Jess Vandergrift and Dan Lay were suspended from their jobs.

"‘The Dog House with JV and Elvis' will no longer be broadcast," said CBS Radio spokeswoman Karen Mateo.

"In the wake of the Imus case, it would have been maddening to the community if these idiots did not get fired," said Queens City Councilman John Liu.

OCA's New York President Vicki Shu Smolin said her organization was glad to hear the news.

"The next thing we will do is to prevent any racist remarks from being aired in New York in the future," she said.

"This is a victory not only for the Asian-American community, but for all communities who find themselves constant targets of racist and sexist programming," executive Jeanette Wang told the Associated Press.
