United States President George W. Bush along with top U.S. military commander Admiral Mike Mullen advised Israel to think twice before considering bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities.

A military operation against Teheran would be unwise for the moment said the two officials especially because an attack would have unforeseeable consequences and could involve the United States in a third war that would put a lot of stress and pressure on its forces. Instead, the western powers and Israel need to use more diplomacy to convince Iran not to develop nuclear weapons, Bush said.

"This is a very unstable part of the world and I don't need it to be more unstable," Admiral Mike Mullen, the Joint Chiefs chairman.

However, Mulled refused to give any details about his recent meetings in Israel, which recently conducted a large-scale military exercise over the Mediterranean Sea, which was interpreted by many as preparation for an air strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Mullen warned that if Israel attacks Iran this would very probably open up a third front for the United States and this would be very stressful for the U.S. military.

“That doesn't mean we don't have capacity or reserve. But that would really be very challenging and also the consequences of that, sometimes, are very difficult to predict," the Admiral added.

Bush said pretty much the same thing underlining the fact that the first option right now is diplomacy aimed at stopping Iran from enriching uranium that could be used for a nuclear weapon.
