Bush Looking Forward To Eco-Friendly Times

President George W. Bush is excited about the eco-friendly times to come and he is certain that younger generations have an “exciting time” ahead of them.

The American president talked to a group of young people which were invited to Heiligendamm, Germany, where this year’s G8 summit takes place, to talk to world leaders in different topics.

Bush expressed his enthusiasm for the time when cars will be powered by hydrogen and carbon dioxide from underground power stations, thus assuring less pollution of the environment.

“I believe in the ingenuity of man. I think you will see a dramatically different world,” Bush told the young guests. “It's coming quite rapidly. It's going to be an exciting time for you.”

Another politician talking about reducing energy consumption was Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who emphasized the need for Japanese citizens to change their lifestyles and learn how to conserve energy.

Abe also mentioned a campaign being prepared for Japanese people in this respect. The campaign would, among other things, encourage the Japanese to acquire energy-efficient household appliances like washing machines.

Abe enumerated measures such as spending less time in the bath when washing one’s hair, turning air conditioning to 28 degrees and not lower on hot summer days and going to work in shirtsleeves, rather than collar and tie.
