Bungie and Microsoft Sued in Court

The high tech industry could be characterized by two words: innovation and lawsuits. Day by day we are shocked by how great and innovative human minds can be and by all those brand new all-in-one PCs, high def recorders or video gaming devices they invented! But we are also shocked by all the lawsuits that seem to stick to the companies behind these great inventions like a leech.

However, the claims that a man made public in a recently filed lawsuit against Bungie and Microsoft are maybe the most surprising and hilarious claims we have ever heard. Randy Nunez accused the two popular companies of releasing a game (that is Halo 3) that is not compatible with Xbox 360, the console that the video game was specifically and exclusively designed for. How is that? Halo 3, a major hit that has brought Microsoft no less than $400 million, is not compatible with the video gaming console for which it was exclusively designed for! The only question that arises is why all the other people that bought Halo 3 haven’t noticed this strange fact too.

Randy Nunez has simple arguments for filing this lawsuit against Microsoft and Bungie: he bought a copy of the game and noticed that it does not function with the Xbox 360 and that it causes the console to “crash”, “freeze” or “lock up” while the game is being played.

This is not the first time since the Halo 3 release from September that there have been problems with the game. Microsoft even replaced a limited edition of copies that were found scratched before they had even been opened. Still, it is the first time that the fastest selling console title of all times is involved in a lawsuit.
