Geneva  - Bugatti celebrated its 100th birthday by unveiling a Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire special edition at the Geneva Motor Show, taking a cue from the traditional Bugatti with an exclusive colour combination.

The special model, which is a one-off edition, combines "sprint blue matt" and "sprint blue gloss" colours and parts of the engine are also in the traditional Bugatti Blue.

The roof-trim stripes and the exterior rear-view mirrors are of polished, anodised aluminium. A special wheel design has been added and is enhanced by a bright red brake-capillary. The grills in the front and on the side air intakes are in "mirror shine".

The interior of the Centenaire is fitted in special "snow beige" leather with quilting on the seats. The central console is covered in the same leather. The single edition is on sale for 1.35 million euros or 1.71 million dollars plus taxes and transport.

Bugatti was established by Ettore Bugatti in 1909 in Molsheim, France. It is now owned by Volkswagen and the Bugatti Veyron was launched in 2006 with some 200 units sold so far.
