The comings and goings and especially the stayings-together of Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are fascinating to many, and the latest bit of gossip is sure to entertain: the supposed lovebirds spent the weekend romantically in Miami.

The latest match-up to generate media attention concerns Hollywood darling Jennifer Aniston and singer-songwriter John Mayer. The two are supposed to have been dating for some weeks now and were photographed Sunday enjoying some TLC at an exclusive Miami hotel - the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

People magazine reports on its website that they lounged by the swimming pool and canoodling happily. A person who happened to be in the couple’s vicinity told OK! magazine the two did not attempt to hide.

“He was the perfect, companion, they were laughing at each other’s jokes and chatting away all night,” the anonymous source informed. “They were in the honeymoon stage of the relationship and both were out to impress each other.”

Later that day, they attended a wrap party of Aniston’s latest movie, “Marley & Me,” further fuelling the rumor mill to grind, grind, grind. The actress recently finished filming the Miami portion of the film, reports People. Her co-star is Owen Wilson.

As to the media’s focus on his private life, Mayer recently expressed his feelings on the matter, saying he does not let it affect him. He and Aniston had been photographed enjoying a warm (tender) day at the beach in late April when he commented that he gives the pics “double thumbs up,” according to the Associated Press.

“You know what I did? I looked at it and I said, ‘That’s about right.’ What am I going to say, ‘That's not me’?” the singer said while attending the Met’s Costume Institute Gala in New York last week. “You carry on and you enjoy yourself and you continue to live with dignity and everyone has fun.”

Neither Aniston not Mayer have confirmed they are a couple. They do tend to let the photos speak in their place though.
