Tuesday
night, during “Dancing With The Stars” season finale, 37-year-old model-actress
Brooke Burke was crowned as the seventh season’s champion.
Since Burke
had owned the dancing competition show from its very beginning, her eventually
winning it came as no surprise to anybody. During the season finale, Burke and partner Derek
Hough outran fellow finalists former 'NSync member Lance Bass and partner Lacey
Schwimmer and former NFL player Warren Sapp, alongside partner Kym Johnson, the
latter couple coming in second Tuesday night.
Brooke Burke, who has served as host for both E!’s „Wild On”
and CBS’ „Rock Star” shows, managed to come in first 8 out 10 times this
season, while she received the judges’ highest score (10, that is) 16 times.
She was crowned champion of „Dancing With The Stars” after
the scores she got from the three judges, 88 out of 90, were combined with the
viewers’ votes.
All throughout the dancing competition, she maintained an 8
points lead over Warren Sapp, 35, who ranked second despite having received a
lower by one point score than Lance Bass from the judges.
For the season finale, Brooke Burke performed Viennese waltz
routine for which judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba gave
her a perfect score.
On the Tuesday night show, contestants that had been previously
eliminated returned for performances. The latter included actor Cody Linley,
sprinter Maurice Greene, actresses Susan Lucci and Cloris Leachman, chef Rocco
DiSpirito, reality TV star Kim Kardashian,
actor Ted McGinley and comedian Jeffrey Ross.
Brooke Burke is the first woman to win the DWTS show since model-actress Kelly Monaco in the
first season.
