Britney Spears’ youngest boy, 2-year-old Jayden James, was
released from a Kentwood-area hospital Monday evening after being admitted for
an allergic reaction to something he ate over the weekend.
Pop star Britney Spears took her young sons, Sean Preston,
3, and Jayden James, 2, to her native Louisiana
for a family visit over the weekend but the peaceful time she must have
anticipated was troubled by a visit to the hospital after her youngest had a
health problem.
This was the little boys’ first trip outside of California since mom
Britney Spears lost custody to dad Kevin Federline in July. It had been a fun
afternoon for the reunited family, Britney and the boys, grandparents Lynne and
Jamie Spears, auntie Jamie Lynn and uncle Bryan, reports People magazine on its
website, when the incident occurred.
Jayden James apparently ate something he had an allergic
reaction to and was rushed to a Kentwood-area hospital for medical attention. A
source close to the family told the celebrity magazine that the toddler was not
in danger and was kept overnight for observation. Doctors were not sure what
caused the reaction but considered it to be to something he had eaten.
The little boy had hives, was itchy and irritable when he
was admitted to the facility, the source detailed. Britney and Lynne spent the
night at the hospital with the boy and left with him the following evening.
Prior to his release, Monday afternoon, the singer’s team
had posted a statement on her official website to appease the worries of
well-wishers, saying Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest
Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th, with
doctors concluding “he had a reaction to something he ingested.” The statement
said the boy would be discharged Tuesday yet TMZ was present when Britney
Spears left the hospital carrying her son Monday evening.
