Britney’s “Circus” Will Soon Try To Take Over The World

Britney Spears brought her sixth studio album ,"Circus," to Germany. The album was announced by Jive Records on September 15, 2008, and is set for release in the United States on December 2, 2008, which is Spears' 27th birthday. It was released earlier in Europe and Australia. The first single, "Womanizer," is Spears' first No. 1 hit since "Baby One More Time" a decade ago. The second single will be the title track "Circus."

Despite everything that has happened, Britney still has the power to struggle, and her last album, “Blackout”, did very well, actually. In other words this current one has high premises as well. It’s the latest comeback in a career larded with tabloid travail, marketing gimmicks and, not coincidentally, more than 83 million album sales worldwide since 1999. “Circus” capitalizes on Spears’ troubles by turning them into pop songs.

According to Nick Levine of "Digital Spy," it has many similarities to her last studio album, although she sounds more confident and there is less reliance on the vocoder. "Out From Under" was described as "a teary eyed ballad...that's really quite lovely"

Nevertheless the pop star and her backup dancers rocked the stage at the Bambi Awards in Offenburg, Germany on Thursday night. This was Britney's first televised performance since the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards with "Gimme More." We’ll also be getting a 90-minute documentary titled "Britney: For the Record," produced by her record company and airing on MTV on Sunday. And the singer is gearing up for a massive tour in 2009 with only one date officially announced so far: March 30 at the Allstate Arena in suburban Rosemont.
