The long-awaited album of the pop star Britney Spears will
be released earlier then previously announced.
The Spears’ comeback album was scheduled for release in
November 13, but after some tracks leaked online Jive Records, Spears’ label,
decided to move the release date to October 30th.
With this move Jive Recored is trying to prevent further
unauthorized leaks and to avoid illegal distribution of songs.
The last Britney Spears studio album (the fourth in her career), called “In
The Zone”, was released in 2003 and it was an instant hit thanks to tracks like “Toxic”
and “Everytime”.
After “In The Zone”, the pop diva released a greatest hits
album in 2004, entitled “Greatest Hits:My Prerogative” which included three
new songs.
Britney’s debut album “Oops…I Did Again” with the
hit single “…Baby One More Time” has sold 10 million copies in US alone.
As about Spears’ latest musical effort, “Blackout”, no official track list was released, but is known it will include songs like “Heaven On
Earth”, “Radar” and the single “Gimme More”.
Despite Britney’s poor performance at this year VMAs, “Gimme
More” has reached the third place in Billboard Hot 100 and sold 179,000
downloads. The music video of “Gimme More” was premiered last Friday on US iTunes
store.
