Britney’s ‘Blackout’ Confirmed

Rumors about Britney Spears’ change of plans concerning her upcoming album’s name have been confirmed by Jive Records.

The troubled singer’s new album due on November 13 was initially rumored to be called "Piece of me," but according to Friday’s announcement, it was branded "Blackout" and it "refers to blocking out negativity and embracing life fully and captures the dance-friendly nature of the songs."

No official track list has been given yet but "Blackout" is known to include the songs "Heaven on Earth," "Radar," "Piece of Me" and "Break the Ice," as well the singer’s single "Gimme More," Billboard reported.

Despite all the drama in her personal life and the negative publicity, including her poor MTV Video Music Awards performance of her single, "Gimme More" is a success on the music charts, sprinting on the 3rd place on the Billboard Hot 100 this week after selling 179,000 downloads, marking Britney’s first top 10 hit since "Toxic" in March 2004.

Officially, the video for "Gimme More" which features Britney in a dual role, hat of a dark-haired, provocative dancer and of a blonde, angelic-looking club-goer that is fascinated with the dancer, will make its debut on MTV’s TRL on Monday, but it was already released on iTunes on Friday.

In other Britney-related news, the 25-year-old mother-of-two reportedly missed her first supervised visitation with her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, due a faulty intercom, Life& Style Weekly reported.

Apparently, the night before the scheduled visit, three days after Britney last time saw her kids, "she checked into the Beverly Wilshire hotel. But early that morning, she realized it wouldn’t be right to have her first visit with the boys in a hotel. She needed to see them at home, with their things around them," an insider was quoted by the magazine as saying.

According to the source, Britney and her cousin/assistant headed to Britney’s Malibu home where they waited for the kids to arrive when she was announced that her ex-husband’s staff returned to his place with the kids because no one answered the intercom at the gate.

"Brit didn’t realize the intercom wasn’t working. She begged them to bring the boys back. But they wouldn’t. She was devastated that they wouldn’t turn around," the insider added.

Earlier this week, Britney had to turn the boys over to Kevin Federline after she failed to obey a court order imposing her to obtain a California driver’s license and submit to random alcohol and drug testing.
