Britney Talks about Love Life and Motherhood in “For the Record”

Sunday night, a documentary about pop-singer Britney Spears aired on MTV, called “For the Record,” revealing Brit’s views on motherhood, her former relationships and her recent meltdown.

Moreover, the production followed Spears all throughout her comeback in the spotlight, with her working and promoting her new album “Circus,” also featuring video shoots for the single „Womanizer.”

Commenting on her meltdown, Britney said it had been prompted by the fact that she had let all the wrong people become part of her life, adding that she did not want to downplay her turmoil days and admitting she had not felt in the least OK during that period.

Nevertheless, she said she had decided to move on and not let herself have a bad day, trying to lead a thoroughly happy life despite always being chased by paparazzi and having a bunch of assistants and handlers follow her.

As for her two children, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, Britney revealed that they were the ones who prevented her from losing her faith in God.

Spears also discussed her relationships with Justin Timberlake and ex-husband Kevin Federline during the 90 minute documentary, saying that her break-up with the former had left her searching for a purpose in life, while the divorce from the latter had completely taken her aback.

Both her father Jamie Spears and longtime manager Larry Rudolph were featured in the film, along with Britney’s mentor pop-queen Madonna, who said she admired Spears as an artist and that she saw a lot of herself in Brit.

The documentary was produced by company @radical.media, which followed Britney Spears for approximately three months, beginning September 7, the day she appeared on the MTV Video Music Awards.
