The clothes Britney Spears wore while shooting CBS' comedy "How I Met Your Mother" are set to be auctioned online to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council, an environmental organization, the Associated Press reported.
The auction will last one week and is set to start Monday night, immediately after the episode, called "Ten Sessions," featuring the troubled pop star is going to be broadcasted.
Sponsored by the show's producers, the sale will include a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a yellow Nannette Lepore dress and a cream Nannette Lepore cardigan with blue flower details, all worn by the 26-year-old starlet during filming, which lasted a couple of days.
Several short clips of Britney's upcoming performance, of a receptionist in a dermatologist’s office named Abby, who falls in love with Ted (Josh Radnor), have already been released online and have received positive feedback.
"[Spears] was so funny, and she already had her character down pat," Alyson Hannigan, who plays Lily on the show, told TV Guide. "I had no idea she had such great comic timing."
Jason Segel, who plays Marshall on the show, also praised Britney saying she contributed to the episode's dialogue with a few improvised lines that were "really good."
"She came up with stuff that had everyone laughing," Segel said. "She's definitely a comedian."
Spears has previously guest starred in a 2006 episode of "Will and Grace," where she portrayed a conservative talk show host. Britney’s father, who is also her conservator, has agreed to his daughter’s TV project. Britney is still waging a custody battle against ex-husband Kevin Federline, over their two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.
