Britney Spears has added one more piece to her puzzling
comeback. After releasing her first single from her upcoming sixth studio
album, the pop princess and her team have made public cover art for “Circus,”
which is scheduled to be released on December 2, the same day the artist turns
27.
A sexy Britney on a colorful background seals the 13 tracks
of the pop icon’s forthcoming product that hosts “Womanizer,” a hit for which
the singer filmed a video. The No. 1 track broke several chart and radio
records, including the biggest digital debut of any female artist since Nielsen
SoundScan started monitoring, and highlighted Britney Spears’ road back to the
top after a long period of personal problems.
The skin revealing clip directed by Joseph Khan, who also
helmed the videos for “Stronger” and “Toxic,” portrays a tempting Britney
Spears, who wears wigs and is dressed in a waitress’ uniform, while seducing a
guy on the kitchen floor.
It has also been announced that the artist’s second single
will be the title track, “Circus,” produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco.
“The song is an up-tempo track,” explains the 26-year-old
singer’s official Web site, adding that it would be extremely “crazy.”
The long-awaited CD includes, beside “Womanizer” and
“Circus,” 10 other songs, “Out From Under,” “Kill the Lights,” “Shattered
Glass,” “If U Seek Amy,” “Unusual You,” “Blur,” “Mmm Papi,” “Mannequin,” “Lace
and Leather,” “My Baby,” as well as a bonus track entitled “Radar.”
