Another bad news for the troubled Britney Spears. Britney has
lost the right to spend time with her children after failing to comply with
court orders to submit to random drug tests.
According to a Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman, the commissioner
who handles Spears custody case awarded the full custody of Preston
and Jayden to Kevin Federline, the ex-husband of the pop diva.
"Petitioner's (Spear's) visitation with the minor children
is suspended pending Petitioner's compliance with the court orders," the
court document said.
The ruling was handed down by Los Angeles Superior Court
Commissioner Scott Gordon after Kevin Federline requested an emergency hearing
Wednesday.
Spears had been temporarily stripped of custody of Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, at the beginning of this month
after failing to submit to random drug tests. She then took two tests and was
granted supervised access to the kids roughly every other day. She was allowed
an overnight visit once per week with the children after making a personal
appearance in court last week. Her next custody hearing is set for October 26.
Britney has been ordered to attend at least three joint
counseling sessions with Federline, another three individual sessions, as well
as twice-weekly random testing for drugs and alcohol, by that time.
Britney married 29-year-old Kevin Federline in October 2004.
He originally worked as a back-up dancer for the pop princess when she was at
the height of her career. They soon welcomed two babies. Britney filed for
divorce last November.
When their divorce became official on July 30 this year, the
former spouses shared legal and physical custody of the boys. Federline, father
to two other children by a former girlfriend, filed for sole custody a few days
later.
