Britney Spears Looking Her Usual Lovely Self Again

Britney Spears is delighting us all with the pop princess looks and demeanor she conquered the world with a few years ago, in promotional ads for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.

It has been a while now but Britney Spears seems to be recovering from her one year of personal distress and chaos that unfortunately has been so comprehensively publicized.

The 26-year-old singer appears alongside British comedian Russell Brand, host of the soon-to-occur event, in the ads which also feature a huge elephant in the background.

Laughing and looking at ease, Britney Spears pokes a little fun both at Brand and herself.

In the first spot, Russell Brand asks, “You are Britney Spears, right? I’m not dreaming this, am I,” to which she says, “No, this is real,” and gingerly pinches him.

In the second spot, the 33-year-old comedian tries to get Britney to remember his name, which he doesn’t, calling him ‘Russell Brown.’

He repeats ‘Russell Brand’ and says, “You will remember that name because I think pretty soon it’s going to be your surname.”

“Britney Brand,” he quips flirtatiously.

To which Britney Spears laughs good-naturedly and repeats his name, this time correctly.

The collective sigh of relief these two videos must have elicited from her loyal fans!
We can all hope that her revival continues as well as this.

It was just less than a year ago, in mid-September, that Britney Spears was guest of honor at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas. Touted as her comeback, her performance was ultimately considered a disaster, dissected thoroughly from clothes and physique to lip-synching and hesitant dance moves.

It’s nice to see she is handling her return to the event with such grace.

MTV has yet to confirm whether the singer will appear on the show, which airs Sept. 7, live from Paramount Pictures Studios.

You may remember Russell Brand from the raunchy comedy he starred in alongside Jason Segel and Kristen Bell, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” a Judd Apatow production released earlier this summer.
