Britney Spears Joins The Pussycat Dolls In New Video

Troubled pop singer Britney Spears is making more moves in her once-again ascending career, returning to the music scene by securing an appearance in the upcoming video for the Pussycat Dolls.

"It's a small part," a source close to Spears was quoted by People as saying of the pop star's visit to the L.A. set of the group's video shoot for their new single, "When I Grow Up," on Wednesday.

"It was carefully planned out," a set source told Usmagazine.com.

"In the scene, Britney is driving in a car," the set source added. "They all wave at each other as they are passing in traffic, that is it. It is genius and you will love it!"

"Of course, Britney looks hot and blonde," the insider added.

This isn't Britney's first encounter with the Pussycat Dolls, she once appeared by their side as part of a special performance for her older brother Bryan's birthday.

Last week, the 26-year-old was spotted exiting the Merv Griffin offices which sparked new speculation that she is talks for more television roles following her two successful appearances on "How I Met Your Mother."

The two guest appearances on the sitcom were met with rave reviews, and Neil Patrick Harris, one of the show's stars, said he would be happy to have her back for a third time.

The "Gimme More" singer, who is said to be working on a new record with hopes of release before the end of 2008, has also reportedly been approached in connection with the role of Sandy in a Broadway revival of hit musical "Grease."
