Britney Spears’ record label, Jive Records, announced Monday that she'll be releasing her next album on December 2, her 27th birthday. "Circus" is her sixth album. The first single is "Womanizer," produced by the Outsyders. The single is out on September 22.
Dr. Luke, who wrote and produced the title cut, Danja, Guy Sigsworth, Max Martin and Bloodshy & Avant are also among the ones who brought their contribution to the album. "Circus" is the follow-up to last year's "Blackout," which has sold 894,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
After Spears received three three Moonmen awards at the last week's VMAs she is determined to continue fighting for her career. She won “video of the year,” “best female video” and “best pop video.”
All in all she has sold over 62 million albums worldwide that include Baby One More Time (1999), “Oops!...I Did It Again” (2000), “Britney” (2001), “In The Zone”(2003), and “Blackout” (2007), eight number 1 worldwide singles and four consecutive #1 albums.
The 26 year old mom spent much of her summer in the recording studio working on the upcoming album, which manager Larry Rudolph couldn’t be happier with. “I’m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room,” Brit told OK! in August. “This is my best work ever.”
She also taped a video segment for Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” tour singing an except from Madge’s “Human Nature.”
According to People, Guinness World Records announced on Monday that Briteny Spears has actually replaced Paris Hilton as the Most Searched Person on the Internet in 2007.
