Two people from Britney Spears' troubled past, former manager Sam Lutfi and ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, tried to make their way into the pop singer's life forcing her to get restraining orders against them.
After an entire year of being out of the singer's life and out of the spotlight, the two attempted to undermine her conservatorship, which in other words means trying to get back into Britney's life and take advantage of her again. The 27-year-old singer is currently under the permanent conservatorship of her father, Jamie, while lawyer Andrew Wallet is co-conservator of her estate as well.
According to papers obtained by TMZ, which first reported the news, the pair have been conspiring with lawyer Jon Eardley to act on Brit’s behalf legally. Eardley once tried to claim he was Britney’s lawyer (even though she already had one) in an attempt to challenge the conservatorship – at Lutfi’s behest.
Both Lutfi, who served as her manager for a period in 2007 and early 2008, and Ghalib, a paparazzo Britney dated for about three months last winter, have been communicating with her.
Apparently, Lutfi has been threatening Britney’s dad as well and has sent out text and instant messages with false accusations. The court filings showed that Brit's conservators believe Lutfi and Ghalib tried to gain control of the singer's affairs. Now Spears asked her conservators to "protect her from Sam and Adnan" because she's afraid of them.
In addition to the restraining orders against the two, she also received one against Jon Jay Eardley. The temporary restraining orders, which forbid the three to get anywhere near Britney's sons and parents, will last until a hearing on February 23.
