It seems that Britney Spear’s ex-boyfriend could actually be taking photos behind bars.
Adnan Ghalib, the former paparazzo beau of the pop star, has been charged with several counts involving a hit-and-run that took place last month.
According to a release by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, 36-year-old Adnan Ghalib was struck with an assault with a deadly weapon charge, as well as battery and hit-and-run.
Adnan Ghalib allegedly hit a process server with his vehicle outside his apartment on January 30.
The incident took place while the singer’s ex was being served a temporary restraining order, which had been obtained by Britney Spears’ dad. Adnan Ghalib subsequently drove his car at the victim, who jumped on the hood of the vehicle and clutched so as to avoid being pinned before bring shrugged off. The process server, whose name was not mentioned in the press release, allegedly suffered a broken wrist among other injuries.
The District Attorney is asking for $110,000 bail. If convicted, the paparazzo could face up to seven years behind bars.
Britney Spears and Adnan Ghalib started dating in 2007, but the unusual coupling of a pop star and paparazzo lasted less than a year, as the two split early last year. Britney Spears said that the British-born photographer had cheated on her.
