While Britney and her two young sons, Sean Preston and Jyaden James are happily smiling at the world from their mother's Christmas card, poppa Spears, long credited for helping his daughter regain sobriety and even body shape required to reach mass appeal again, didn't need to ask for more before getting an extra $50,000 this Christmas.
According to reports, the money were awarded to Jamie Spears by a court as back pay for overtime and increased work, which brings his value to around $75 per hour, or $16,125 per month retroactively.
"He has been working extra hours related to various activities related to her music and her tour and activities necessary to the conservatorship," Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz said during Monday’s hearing.
Additionally, Jamie Spears will get another $1,200 a month to rent an office. The 56-year-old has been looking after his daughter to the tune of $10,000 a month since February, when Britney suffered two high-profile breakdowns. Well, most parents would take care of their kids for free, but when your kid has way more money than you do, I guess taking your share sounds sort of fair.
In the meantime, Britney’s brother Bryan Spears is going to receive a whopping $200,000 for work he did for his sister before their father was appointed Britney's conservator. Bryan is a co-trustee of Britney’s estate along with an attorney. More bills are headed Britney's way from her team of attorneys and social counselors who are supposedly helping her with the conservatorship case.
The pop singer currently owes something near $1 million. For her custody battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline this year, she owed nearly $900,000 to teams on both sides. That means she will have racked up $2 million this year in legal fees alone.
In other Britney related news, the recovering singer finally fired the team of two choreographers, Wade Robson and Andre Fuentes, the duo who successfully launched the pop star’s comeback with appearances in Europe and Japan and on U.S. and who are responsible for the same repetitive moves she performed during her most recent stage appearances. At least she won't have to worry about paying them for doing a lousy job anymore.
According to Life & Style magazine, Britney is now planning on hiring new people to help her look competent on her upcoming world tour scheduled to kick off in spring. Since she won't be doing too much live singing, so she has to deliver something worth her fans' money, besides looking her cute self.
The official reason for their departure hasn’t been revealed, but according to Britney fan site Breathe Heavy, Robson simply said he "had it."
No word on who'll be stepping in for Robson, but rumors are that one of Madonna's people, Jamie King, who is responsible for her massively successful "Sticky & Sweet Tour" will be helping her with the "Circus" tour. He previously worked with Britney during her "Oops… I Did It Again" trek.
