Britney Spears' Confessions About Her Life & Marriage In New Documentary

Ahead of Britney Spears' new album release, excerpts from the upcoming MTV documentary about the pop singer's life were published by British newspaper The Sun, revealing a very emotional Britney, who candidly talks about how difficult she finds her day to day life as well as her marriage to former back-up dancer Kevin Federline.

"I have really good days, and then I have bad days," the troubled 26-year-old singer said in the 90-minute "Britney: For The Record" (airing Nov. 30 on MTV).  "Even when you go to jail, you know there's the time when you're gonna get out.

"But in this situation, it's never ending," she added. "It's just like [the movie] Groundhog Day every day."

Enough time has gone by since Britney's infamous string of meltdowns earlier this year, following which her father Jamie Spears was named the conservator of her estate, so that she can finally speak about her erratic, post-divorce lifestyle.

"I think it's too in control. If I wasn't under the restraints I'm under, I'd feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it's like they hear, but they're really not listening. If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I'm having to pay for a long time," said Britney. Late last month, her dad was appointed a permanent conservator of her affairs and the singer was said to have agreed as she was hoping it would help her regain custody of her children, which she lost in October last year.

The former pop princess is currently enjoying success in the U.S. and U.K. with the new single "Womanizer," but while her career may be back in the zone, her existence is too often a struggle, which is rather surprising considering that Britney is doing so much better under her dad's supervision.

"If I wasn't under the restraints that I'm under right now, I'd feel so liberated," she revealed in the film, which follows the singer as she records and promotes her new album "Circus." "When I tell them the way I feel, it's like they hear me, but they're really not listening."

The documentary was made of footage shot by a camera crew, which followed the singer for three months as she moved to pull her life back on track. "I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in," Britney said. "This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed."

Another shocking confession regarded her ex-husband Kevin Federline whom the singer admitted she married for all the wrong reasons, "I think I married for the wrong reasons. Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy, I just did it for the idea of [marriage and] everything," she said.
