Britney Spears’ comeback is spectacular, as her newly released studio album made record sales, proving that fans haven’t given up on the famous pop star when she went through a tough time. “Circus” debuted at No.1 in the United States, her album selling 505,000 copies during one week. Currently, Britney Spears is the only artist which Nelson has been monitoring for the past 17 years that sold 4 albums in over 500, 000 copies.
The album also hit No. 1 in Brazil, Canada, Japan, Mexico and Switzerland, making it one of the best sold albums of the year and a real musical revelation.
The album “Circus” has received good reviews from music critics, the new songs being described as “fresh” and “cunning dance-pop." Britney Spears has always been in the centre of attention, either in a negative way or by proving to be a pop icon that influenced a whole generation of teenagers.
This is the fifth time the notorious pop star hits No. 1 in the US and if things continue to progress in a positive way, Britney Spears can even regain all her lost popularity. Britney Spears became notoriously popular 10 years ago, when her hit single “Hit Me Baby One More Time” caused a real sensation on the pop music scene.
In 2007, the artist’s life took a run for the worse, as the singer started becoming more popular for her erratic behavior, like shaving her head, appearing in pictures wearing no panties, losing custody over her two sons and being treated for psychiatric disorders.
